Quick answer: in a fishing game every shot is a bet. Spend is therefore set by three things: your cannon level, how fast you fire, and how long you play. Fix all three before you start, keep auto-fire on a short leash, and stop when you hit your loss or time limit.
1. Work out your cost per minute
Your spend is roughly bet per shot × shots per minute × minutes played. The return from captures is random, so this sum shows how quickly your balance can move. Example: a ₱1 cannon firing 60 shots a minute puts ₱60 a minute into play. Over 30 minutes that’s ₱1,800 wagered. Some of it comes back as wins, but on average less than you put in.
2. Pick a cannon level that fits your budget
- Decide a session budget you can afford to lose, for example money already set aside for entertainment.
- Choose a cannon level small enough that your budget covers many minutes of play, not a few seconds.
- Don’t raise the cannon level to “win back” a loss. Chasing losses is the fastest way to empty a balance.
3. Treat auto-fire with care
Auto-fire and lock-on are convenient, but they fire continuously. Spend climbs without you deciding on each shot. If you use them, check your balance often and switch them off when you pause. Never leave a game running on auto while you’re away from the screen.
4. Ignore “due” bosses
Each shot’s capture result is random and independent. A boss you’ve hit many times is no closer to being captured than a fresh one. If you notice you’re “investing” in one target, stop and reset.
5. Set stop rules before you start
- Loss limit: stop when the session budget is gone. Don’t top up mid-session.
- Time limit: set a phone timer. See our tips on taking screen breaks.
- Win rule (optional): if you’re ahead, decide in advance to cash out part of it.
6. Keep your account safe
“Fishing hack” apps and “guaranteed win” groups are scams. Never share your password, OTP or MPIN. Read our guide to spotting impersonation messages. Deposit only through official channels; see the GCash and Maya safety guide.
